What is google up to anyway? Why the heck does it keep directing us to this irksome google page in tagalog, half of which is incomprehensible to some of us? C'mon, who was the Einstein wannabe who came up with this not so brilliant idea? I say give us a choice or get rid of the tagalog page altogether. What happened to our fundamental right to choose? So I have been trying to find a way to remove the default google in Tagalog but I can't. Why the heck is it defaulted to Tagalog??? Tagalog is only one of several languages in the Philippines. And even if let's say default is "Filipino," I would still want to change the default setting to english. I'm as patriotic as any other nationalist. But i know where we should draw the line. And putting a google default in tagalog is pretentious at best. It does not show nationalism. On the ohter hand I tend to believe that the reason for the default is that more and more "tagalog-speaking filipinos" are deteriorating in their english proficiency - thus the need for a "tagalog" google default because they cannot comprehend, understand the english version.
